There’s also trails, safe ones of course, as long as you’re with your family it’s both safe and fun. You don’t have to go through steep hills or mountains or deep in the woods, you could just keep the hiking trail as simple as you like or be daring. It’s really up to what you and your family want!

You could really get adventurous and daring by hiking together in the mountains or hills, make sure to dress properly, bring snacks and water, and stick together. You and your family could make memories with an awesome hiking adventurous to look back on.
Bonding while Hiking
Another great thing about hiking is to really depend on one another to get through the hiking trail successfully and to get back from the hiking trail successfully. You have to be able to bond and trust each other as a family to safely and effectively get through the hiking trail. It’s fun to explore while hiking, enjoy seeing interesting things on the way, and capturing the special moments by taking pictures. You can take tons of pictures together posing, showing off the scenery, and remembering the hiking trails you successfully hiked together.
Times to Hike
Another great idea to make hiking a fun and interesting family activity is to incorporate it to your lives consistently. You can have a special day for hiking once a week, like on a Saturday or Sunday, when your whole family is available. That way you have a set day one day a week to hike and bond together in the wilderness. You can get everyone excited for the weekend with this fun activity and you could also play games while hiking. Like for example, you can play a game similar to follow the leader, whoever gets to lead through the hiking trail. You can play racing games, as long as it’s safe and permissible, to see who’s faster. Simply playing fun made up games while hiking can make it a more interesting experience for you and your whole family.
Another fun thing to do while hiking, to amp up the whole experience even more, is to bring a notepad or notebook with you so your little ones can draw all the things they see. It’s great for kids to get creative on the spot while hiking or while taking a short break. They can draw with colored pencils all the things they like or see throughout the hiking trail. It gets them more excited and motivated to want to hike more often and to sort of record their hiking experience through drawing. You can even join in with your kids and family, and get creative!
It’s also fun to look at all the wilderness and beautiful things around you. To really appreciate all the flowers, trees, and animals. Enjoying your surroundings and appreciating Mother Nature in all its glory is a great experience for you and your family to witness together. You can learn so much from just a simple hike. It’s always fun to learn new things with your loved ones that you didn’t know about before. You can try to identify each kind of flower or plant, each type of tree or animal, and capture the uniqueness and rawness of everything involved in your hike. Believe it or not, hiking can be very educational and you all can learn something from it without even realizing it.
If it’s safe enough, you and your family can have a scavenger hunt! It’s a great way to look for certain things together, while taking a break from the actual hike. You want every moment to be memorable and interesting. Scavenger hunts are always fun to do and it’s great for the whole family. It’s also important for the scavenger hunt are to be small and not so big of an area, just to be on the safe side and not to make the scavenger hunt turn into hours long of a game. It should be a short and sweet hunt! Maybe even take a bike!
It’s all about making memories and doing activities that really get families to become closer. It’s not about watching tv together, or staying on iPhones together, or playing video games, it is about good old fashion bonding as a family. Pretty much any family activity can be fun as long as you’re all together but there are so many fun options to choose from. Life is too short to stay cooped up inside and doing the same activities over and over. Hiking is a great example of something different, something that truly describes what an activity is by being literally active. So the next time you want to spend time with your family, get into comfy sweats or workout gear, get your sneakers on, bring lots of water and snacks, your camera, and get ready to have some hiking spontaneous family fun!
